Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In a shocking incident that transpired on Thursday morning in the Bargachhiya area of Jagatballabpur, Howrah, a marriage proposal turned violent when a nephew, Krishna Dhar, allegedly beat his aunt and grandmother with bamboo on a public road.
The victims, identified as Navipodel and maternal aunt Soma Poddel, sustained severe injuries to their heads in the attack. The assailant, Krishna Dhar, is currently absconding, and the Jagatballabpur police station has initiated a search operation to apprehend him. This incident follows a previous complaint against Krishna for a similar proposal, resulting in his arrest and a brief period of incarceration a few years ago.
